the mythical Snake Pass

Rather hasty the the other day, saying I wasn't getting any photos taken in this winter weather.  Just today we drove over the Snake Pass and these are my shaky pics from the passenger seat as we rose up from Glossop then down towards Ladybower and back into Sheffield, in the winter sun and leftover snow.

Temp was down to freezing and the ponds were frozen.  See if you can spot someone's snowman near the top!!

The dramatic part was that this was a dash across the Pennines to get to an emergency dentist's appointment!  One of my front crowns broke off this morning and I won't begin to describe how I looked.  However, all is now well and mended.  Hurray for nice dentists!!!!!
