I must go down to the sea again

Quick stroll on my childhood route to the edge of the sea today
first crossing the Merseyrail line from West Kirby to Liverpool - peek of Leasowe Lighthouse, a beacon in the distance as ever (well since 1763 anyway!).
 brickworks now closed down
but here's some put to epic use as urban stepping stones
 Lingham Farm
and getting closer- big skies beckoning
and finally onto the prom.  A blustery Irish Sea breeze and the high tide's just turned
A nod over to the docks at Bootle - huge red cranes rising in the mist
and back over that amazing brutalist bridge
to Mum's for a cuppa . . .
