adopted cities

Saturday afternoon in Sheffield
great brunch at the new Tamper Coffee at Sellers Wheel
just loving the loo roll holders too
Then it's off to Hunters' Bar for a bread fix
and a rummage for a remnant to make some new cushions with
Followed by Sunday evening down by the station
Andrew Motion's poem if you can make it out
and that amazing tall thin building
Don't ya just love it all!!!!

Double devotion

A marriage spanning the hemispheres!

Part one was in the wonderful island of Waiheke - to see this and hear Neil and Katharine's song 'First Day of my Life' just click below:

New Zealand wedding

and part two was on the Wirral last Saturday.  Both were wonderful, happy and fun.

Here's the church (with its steeple)
Open the doors - here's some of the people:

then back to the house - in the rain
not that that dampened us at all
 proud Mum
 old friends
 new friends
 speeches
even the bride got a word in
 cakes to die for
strictly (HA HA) speaking, second dance
 but it made fireworks
 the night was still young
 shoes were cast off
 dancers whirled
  the rain outside stopped
until finally it was time to go home - tired but happy.
Now I've put this music clip at the end as I know it doesn't work well on the ipad anymore, but if you can see the link below click for the perfect song for a perfectly romantic day - (not that our dancing matched up!) and look at the photos again!!!

 ENJOY . . . . . .

Love is in the air

at Tom and Emma's wonderfully romantic wedding last Thursday

Everyone looking so lovely and the sun shining - all awaiting the entrance of the bride and groom!

the bridesmaids arrive
the knot is happily tied
confetti scattered
Music played
a fabulous cake
and of course, the happy couple
about to cut the cake!
and as evening fell, that first dance . . .
What a magical day . . . .

and to finish off, as we had an amazing soul band to dance to, here's my favourite romantic Motown number to send them off on a happy life:
